"Mood Rotation" is the collaboration of 5 musicians:

Mood: programming, bass & concept.

Federico D'Antoni: keys + saxophone + flute

Together they bring an organic & soulful blend, combining elements from Soul, R&B, Jazz, analog sounds and House grooves.

As iDJ contributor Alan Russell would say, this is real house music for people with soul. Meaning (for those not au fait with garage puritanism), deep house with musicality. And what musicality: wonderful vocals, nice keys, jazz bass and all manner of horn touches (yes, the obligatory flute solo wanders in towards the end). This was co-produced by Black Beat Niks, so if you dig their stuff, this will be right up your proverbial street. Deep, soulful and very, very lovely.

A little bit late but there was no way we could let you sleep on this (if you were). As we've come to expect from the Black Beat Niks' label this is underpinned by a full-phat bassline, the drums are lovely and warm and there's a nice meandering sax line, too, but it's the simply adorable vocal (credited simply to 'Paula') and emotion-drenched lyric that earn this its
stars. Hell, I even quite like the flute line and I can't remember the last
time that happened.
